What we collect

When you record a dream, Dream Record collects the voice recording you create and the text transcript produced from it. We also collect the first name you provide during setup, an anonymous account identifier, your free-tier usage count, and your subscription status. We do not collect your real name, email, contacts, location, or device advertising identifiers.

How your data is collected and used

Data is collected only when you choose to record or type a dream, or when you answer a reflection question. It is used solely to provide the app's core features — transcribing your recording, and generating a title, symbols, reflection questions, and pattern insights. Your dreams are stored in your private account, protected so that only you can read them. They are never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used to train AI models.

Sharing with third-party AI services

To turn your spoken dream into a written, reflective journal, Dream Record sends your data to two AI service providers, and only for the purposes below:

You are asked to review and agree to this data sharing inside the app, during setup, before any dream is processed. Both providers are bound by API terms that prohibit using your data to train their models and that require them to provide the same level of protection for your data described in this policy. No dream data is shared with any other third party. Account storage and authentication are provided by Supabase, and subscriptions are handled by Apple.

Your consent and control

You provide explicit consent to the AI processing described above before your first dream is processed. You can delete any individual dream, or your entire account and all associated data, from inside the app at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your dreams, transcripts, symbols, questions, and insights from our systems.
